The thing about Christmas is - it's always just around the corner. The day after the holiday people are out shopping for the next time it comes around, though of course some are looking for deals for the next birthday or other event as well. Most people, though - well, they take their shopping at little less seriously and wind up waiting till the last minute. And then they rush around looking for something good for a child in their life, but also something they can buy quickly, like a tin toy figurine or game. Something that kids like to play with, but which will withstand hurried packaging and perhaps shipping.
Why a tin toy? Well, there is a reason people have been making them, in one variation or another, for decades. Sure children will play with expensive games and things that go flash and boom - but give them a sturdy toy and perhaps a cardboard box and many of them will be occupied for hours. Children are inventive and imaginative, and most times will keep going as long as their toys can keep up with them. Younger children, especially, want something they can easily carry around, slip into their pockets or backpacks, and always have with them when they have an inspiration to play.
