The procedure undertaken to correct the deformities to the nose is called rhinoplasty which is also undertaken to make aesthetic changes for cosmetic reasons. Rhinoplasty can be performed both under general and local anesthesia. The entire procedure takes roughly about 3 hours but it varies depending on the amount of reshaping of the nose that is to be done. It takes about 1 week to fully recover.
